Watertown Bands to Tampa – Bus 2 was the best!!
This is your bus driver…”Bear” from bus number 2. Even though we had the status of number two in bus order, your rank outscored the other two coaches in all other categories by leaps and bounds. With the exception of one time at the International Mall, our coach always called into say that we were loaded and ready to go!
When I had the opportunity to talk to you as a group while waiting close to two hours on the interstate for an accident to clear, we talked about “RESPECT”. Watertown Band, through your actions over the duration of your trip, you have given me the greatest respect for you, your parents, your band leaders and your community. You guys are AWESOME!!!
We knew that sometime during our travel we would have some adversity …my expectations of you were never in doubt. Did I really lead my co-drivers to Hamburger Mary’s? I don’t think so…anyway.
Congrats on your great performances and first place finishes at Jefferson H.S., the Outback parade and an experience you will never forget, your performance at half time show at the Outback Bowl game in Tampa. I will always have fond memories of a great trip.
Highest regards to your bright future and I hope to see you again soon. You’ve earned my respect and next time we meet you can look me square in the eye and call me “Bear.”
PS. I’m sure Duane, the lead driver for coach 2, (the Duaneanator) echoes my thoughts.
