Oh the treasures that can be found in backyards!  No, I am not referring to peoples backyards; it is the small  communities that go unnoticed that we will be visiting to see and learn about the way of life in southeastern Minnesota.

Horse lovers can ride!

On our way to Lanesboro, MN we will be visiting the Trinity Equestrian Center in rural Eau Claire, WI. This stop will be for the horse lovers, if you would like to ride a horse this will be your opportunity. The staff at the Trinity Equestrian Center is very well trained in working with our type of group so if you ever thought you wanted to give it a try but was afraid to do it this may be a good time to try it. Our included lunch today will be at My Garage Bar & Grill in Mondovi before following the scenic drive south along the Mississippi River and into Minnesota.

Late this afternoon we will arrive at the  Country Trails Inn & Suites in Preston, MN to get settled in for a two night stay. This evening we will have our included dinner at Peddle Pusher Café and enjoy the small town atmosphere.

We'll ride on Molly the Trolley! All Aboard!

This morning we rise to a beautiful day and an included breakfast at our hotel. Then it is off for more backyard  adventures. We will have a step-on guide join us for a morning tour to the Amish Country in southeast Minnesota. Our tour will take us to various shops in the Amish Community before having our included dinner; a home-cooked Amish meal. Yum Yum! This afternoon get ready for an entertaining ride on Molly the Trolley as we see more of the quaint little towns in the area. Next in the line up is our included dinner at the Branding Iron Restaurant in Preston.

A covered wagon will be fun!

Our adventures on the Backyard Treasures tour will continue following our included breakfast. Pack up our suit-cases and let’s head for LaCrosse but not before enjoying a ride in a covered wagon pulled by a team of horses. Then it will be time to head to LaCrosse to enjoy an included lunch at Buzzard Billy’s and then on to the Wildlife Eco-Tour at the Port of LaCrosse.

From the pontoon style riverboat we cruise the waterways into the backyards of the Beaver Lodges  and the neighborhood of the playful River Otters. In the distance we will be able to see the many Bald Eagles in the  area. After today is completed there should be no surprises what a person can find in the backyards of Minnesota and Wisconsin. On our trip home we will stop for an included dinner in the Tomah area before returning to Central WI.

Cost: $525 per person, double occupancy
